Seed phrase unavailable — hardware wallet 2018
SurvivesCase description
A user who had memorised their 24-word seed and kept no written backup suffered a traumatic head injury in July 2018. Upon hospital discharge eight weeks later they could recall 20 of 24 words with confidence and three more with uncertainty. Professional recovery required extensive enumeration to find the missing word and confirm the uncertain ones.
