Seed unavailable — hardware wallet (2017)
SurvivesCase description
A November 2017 case describes a user who had given one half of a split seed to their lawyer and kept the other half. The lawyer died suddenly and the law firm could not identify which client files belonged to which open matters. The sealed envelope with the seed half was in a box of uncatalogued files.
