A Bitcoin bonds platform that had been issuing bonds denominated in BTC since 2013 ceased operations in April 2015. Bond certificates had been issued as text files with no on-chain enforcement mechanism. When the operator disappeared, bondholders had no legal instrument and no on-chain proof of claim to support any recovery action.
