Documentation absent — exchange custody (2013)
BlockedCase description
Multiple smaller Bitcoin lending operations on Bitcointalk continued into 2013 without audited balance sheets or documented liability records. When operators disappeared or defaulted, creditors had no documentation to present to any authority or to support a legal claim. The lack of records made recovery impossible.
