In July 2013 a federal court in Texas granted an emergency asset freeze against Trendon Shavers and Bitcoin Savings and Trust following the SEC's formal complaint filed in June 2013. This court order constrained any remaining BTCST-linked assets. Creditors who had not yet recovered from the 2012 collapse were now subject to formal legal proceedings governing their claims.
