BlockedCase description
An October 2018 estate case involved a deceased who had been a frequent poster on a Bitcoin forum. The estate found forum posts from 2012 discussing the purchase of Bitcoin but no wallet files on any device. Blockchain analysis found an address linked to their forum profile with a large balance. The private key was never located.
