Hidden wallet discovered — software wallet (2019)
BlockedCase description
A Bitcoin miner's old computer from 2011 was discovered in a self-storage unit in May 2019. The unit's climate control had failed at some point over the years, and condensation had accumulated on the hard drive internals. The drive was partially readable but the wallet.dat file's sectors were among those that could not be recovered.
