Device lost — software wallet (2016)
BlockedCase description
A user who had relied on a single encrypted USB drive for all wallet backups found in October 2016 that the encryption software used had been discontinued and the file format was no longer supported by any available tool. The proprietary encryption could not be brute-forced and no decryption key had been separately recorded.
