Device lost — software wallet (2014)
BlockedCase description
A university student who had been mining Bitcoin since 2012 stored their wallet on a laptop that was confiscated by university IT security following an unrelated policy violation. The laptop was held for 30 days. By the time it was returned, the wallet.dat had been deleted as part of the IT department's device remediation process.
