Hidden wallet discovered — Trezor (2019)
SurvivesCase description
A Trezor user whose device was destroyed in a kitchen fire in February 2019 found that their seed phrase, stored in a nearby drawer, had also been damaged. Most of the words were illegible. A professional recovery service was able to narrow down the missing words using the known words as constraints, successfully recovering the wallet.
